74-Yr-Old Crashes Car Into Wall

Yesterday afternoon [Sept 14] a 74-year-old man crashed his car into a wall, damaging both the car and wall while escaping injury himself.

At 1:55pm yesterday Police attended a single vehicle collision on Knapton Hill in Smith’s parish near the junction with South Road. The Police say that it appears that it was a single vehicel accident which saw the car collide into a wall on Knapton Hill. The vehicle received front end damage, and the wall was also damaged. Fortunately the driver, a 74-year-old Smith’s parish man, was not injured.

Earlier that day at around 8:30am, the Police attended a reported road traffic collision on Loyal Hill Pass in Devonshire involving three vehicles. The Police say that the car collided with a wall on Loyal Hill Pass and as a result two unattended parked vehicles in the area were also damaged. As in the accident above, there was also damage to the wall. The driver of the car, a 61 year old Devonshire woman and her passenger, a 61 year old Devonshire man, were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of minor injuries and released.
