Man Robbed By Two Men on Happy Valley

Just before 2:45am this morning [Oct 17] a 28 year old Pembroke man, was walking along Happy Valley Road in Pembroke when he was accosted by two men, robbed of his wallet and injured.

The assailants escaped on foot, and the victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects are described as two black men wearing helmets; one was taller than the other. Police inquiries into this incident are underway, and they are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-001.

Within hours of this incident, three tourists were also injured in the course of two separate robbery incidents, making a total of four people injured during robberies in only a matter of hours.
