And to think we are building all these new hotels, piers, docks ext. to attract tourists. The most ridiculous thing is until crime is fixed, tourists won’t want to come here.

  3. VERN says:

And on the front page of the Royal Gazette website today it says Viloent Crime continues to Rise but Overall crime falls by 12.8% ..Just thought that was a silly and ridiculous comment to make in these times.OVERALL crime falls .I mean what the hell??
As for this shooting today if the police do not have proactive policing, such as going into peoples neighborhoods and homes regularly sitting in peoples living room couches and monitoring people ,watching people money who they feel are drug addicts or drug dealers the shootings will prob continue, police are sitting back witing for crimes to happen then going out, thats not good enough.A lot of things guys should have been stopped of that lifestyle 5- years ago but were allowed to do what they wanted for so long cause nobody was out there to stop them,in certain neighborhoods you could drive by and see people openly selling drugs..

Time to get serious before more tourist and locals really start getting hurt, look at whathappened to that tourist in grotto bay last week ,,a failure of policing for not locking up people knowingly with drug problems..

Catch somebody in my house breaking and entering and willing to hurt my family puts me in a position that I am quite willing to go jail to protect what I have worked hard for all my life! The police would need to call the coroner and I would have a clear conscience about it too at the end of the day!!! Nuff said.

Just sick and tired of all the excuses and nothing being done,I mean what the hell is the governor doing? When something happens he gets his picture taken with his nice suit on complaining that the government overspends then he goes back home and waits for another phonecall for another incident then does the same thing all over again,,But what is really saying and doing to improve our way of life,What are his fundamental plans? What are his goals for bermuda and what are his personal viewpoints of being crime to an end dont hear anything of that from him,,
someone please post a past statement or link of him actually wanting to improve things in bda..I mean Michael Bloomberg has said stronger quotes and statements then our on govener of what we should be doing to improve Bda.
So something is not right here i hope someone can correct me on this, because this observation should not be correct if so we have some serious issues to address in bda
