Photos & Results: 2010 World Rugby Classic
The 2010 World Rigby Classic opened today [Nov 7], and saw first day victories from the Classic Lions and South Africa. The annual tournament, which ends on November 13, is a popular fixture on the Bermuda social calendar, and has international teams competing from nations including Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, South Africa, UK, USA and defending champions New Zealand.
Before the international matches there were mini rugby exhibition matches featuring some of Bermuda’s young rugby players. The main matches got underway and saw The Classic Lions play extremely well topping Canada by 52 to 5 to advance. South Africa cruised to victory over the USA 46 to 14. Tomorrow will see France take on New Zealand at 7:15pm, and Argentina play Australia at 8:30pm.
