Photos: 2010 Thanksgiving Basketball Classic

The 2010 Bermuda Thanksgiving Classic got underway yesterday [Nov 26]. In good Bermuda fashion, the Gombeys came out as part of the opening ceremony, with the drummers playing as the teams involved in the tournament were lead onto the court [video] in front of the packed bleachers.

Metro Prep and Chaparral High played after the opening ceremony, which saw Chaparral High defeat Metro Prep 47 – 42. In other games for the day Metro Prep defeated Bermuda Blue 87 – 14, Francis Parker High defeated Chaparral High 59 – 35, Durango High defeated Bermuda Red 48 – 7, Georgetown District Prep defeated the Bermuda White by 40 – 39, and Francis Parker High defeated the Bermuda Blue team 75 – 21. The photos below are all from the Opening ceremony and the Metro vs Chaparral game.
