Van Driver Arrested After Crashing into Hedge

A 25-year-old man was briefly hospitalized then arrested on suspicion of impaired driving after driving his car into a Paget hedge early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred around 3:00am on Saturday [Nov 13] on Harbour Road in Paget near the junction with Salt Kettle Road. The Police say that it appears that the man “lost control and collided with a hedge.”

The driver, a 25-year-old Warwick man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The Police then arrested the driver on suspicion of impaired driving.

The van received front end damage, and there is no word on how the hedge fared.

Police state that inquiries into this incident are underway.
