U/20 Football Team to Play in Suriname

The Caribbean Football Union today [Dec 28] released the location for the next round of the under/20 World Cup Qualifiers. Suriname will host Bermuda, Guyana and the Netherlands Antilles from January 19-23. All four teams finished runner-up in their first-round qualifying groups. Bermuda’s team for the upcoming tour has not yet been named.

Andre Kamperveen Stadium in Paramaribo will be the venue for the second-round Group E matches, with one team emerging to complete the 12-team finals field.

The sides will be looking to join automatic North American qualifiers Canada, Mexico and the United States, host Guatemala, Central American qualifiers, Honduras, Panama and El Salvador as well as fellow Caribbean qualifiers Cuba, Jamaica, Guadeloupe and Trinidad for the CONCACAF championship finals on April 3-17.
