Harness Pony Racing got underway this afternoon [Jan 23] at the National Equestrian Center on Vesey Street, with stake races the order of the day. Nick DeCosta in the bike of Pretty Boy Hanover crossed the line first with time of 1:08 & 1 in the 1:06&1 – 1:07&1 Class, winning the first race of the day. In the 1:07/2 – 1:08/2 Class EJ Carreiro in the bike of Royal Winner hit the tape in 1:08 & 4, while in the 1:05/0 – 1:06/0 Class race, Joe Vieire with Sure Grand placed first in a time of 1:08 & 3.
