Two Accidents, Two Motorcyclists Injured

Two motorcyclists were injured on Tuesday in two separate accidents.

A Police spokesman said: “Around 10:20am on Tuesday [Jan 18], Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of North Shore Road and Workmen’s Lane in Hamilton parish involving a SUV and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along North Shore Road when they collided at the junction. The rider of the motorcycle, a 52 year old Hamilton parish man, was injured. The driver of the SUV was not injured. Both vehicles received moderate damage.”

Around 12 noon that same day, there was an accident on Stowe Hill in Paget involving a van and a motorcycle.The rider of the motorcycle, a 19 year old Sandys parish woman, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the van was not injured. The motorcycle received moderate front end damage while the van received relatively minor rear end damage.

Police inquiries into both incidents are underway.
