Dandy Town To Play Caribbean Champions Cup
The Bermuda Football Association’s Defending Premier Division Champions Dandy Town Hornets will play Defence Force from Trinidad in their first round of the Caribbean Club Champions Cup.
CONCACAF held the draw at the Caribbean Football Union headquarters set the first- and second-round pairings for the two-leg, aggregate-goal series.
The seven first-round winners advance to a second round of eight teams, including Puerto Rico, the winners of which will qualify for semifinals and a chance to claim one of three region’s berths in the 2011-2012 CONCACAF Champions League.
Puerto Rico has qualified each season the Champions League’s three-year existence.
The Caribbean club championship will begin in Trinidad on March 9-11 and Bermuda’s Dandy Town Hornets will play the Defence Force of Trinidad.
The second legs will be played March 18-20, with the second round schedule for the weeks of April 12-14 and April 22-24. The semifinals in Trinidad will be played May 25 with the final and third-place game set for four days later.
