Accident Causes Delays on Front Street
[Updated] Front Street is presently experiencing traffic delays due to an accident a short while ago this afternoon [Mar.3]. Police and emergency responders temporarily blocked off the road to treat the victim and assess the situation. Details are unclear at this time, but it appears the rider may have collided with a car.
We will update with official information as able, however we unofficially understand the female rider’s injuries are not life threatening.
Update: Front Street is now open, with traffic flowing freely.

Around 2:20pm on Thursday, Police responded to a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Front Street in the City of Hamilton near the junction with Burnaby Street, involving a car and an auxiliary cycle.
Details about the collision are unclear at this time; however the auxiliary cycle rider, a 29 year old Pembroke woman, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. Her injuries are not considered life threatening. Both vehicles were damaged. As a result there was a temporary traffic delay in the area. Inquiries are underway.

After using his measuring tape, the Ploice Officer seen ( Pc. John Mile) when questioned by Bernews stated….I ran out of tape after the 7 mile chase but had a few inches to spare.I think were gonna need longer tapes but with the budget cuts there could be some red tape involved.
