Conference on Aging To Be Broadcast Next Week

The Conference on Aging will be carried live on the radio on Monday March 21st and Tuesday March 22nd, with 1450 AM Gold scheduled to broadcast from 9am to noon directly from the Conference’s venue at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.

A spokesperson said, “The aim of the conference is to gather stakeholders to start the process of creating an official Strategy on Ageing for the Government.”

Morning speakers include; Lead Economist at The World Bank Dr. Daniel Cotlear, Regional Advisor on Aging and Health Dr. Enrique Vega Garcia, Premier and Minister of Finance Paula Cox, Minister of Health Zane De Silva, Former Senator and Director of Social Services Dr. Norma Astwood, and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health Kevin Monkman.

The conference will be moderated by Conchita Ming and has been organized by the National Office for Seniors and the Physically Challenged.
