Krista Doran Named ‘Power Broker’
Krista Doran, a Senior Vice President at Bowring Marsh, the specialist international placement broker at Marsh, has been named a 2011 Power Broker® by Risk & Insurance® magazine. The award recognizes her creativity, problem-solving ability, industry knowledge, and commitment to delivering superior client service in the chemical industry sector.
Ms. Doran is the only broker from Bermuda to make the list, which was released in the latest issue of Risk & Insurance®.
As Senior Vice President in the Excess Casualty Department and a 17-year veteran at Bowring Marsh, Ms. Doran is responsible for placing and managing excess liability programmes with Bermuda insurers on behalf of Marsh clients. Her portfolio is primarily focused on clients within the chemical, marine and energy, and life science industries.

The Power Broker® designations are based on nominations provided by brokers and risk managers and judged by separate panels of risk managers for each industry segment. Hundreds of risk managers were interviewed in the process of identifying, soliciting, evaluating, and judging the final nominations. Individuals were judged primarily on their creativity in solving risk-related problems during 2010, their industry knowledge and their high level of client service.
