Student To Design Logo: FireFighters Walk
The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service [BFRS] will be participating in the Middle-To-End Walk on May 7, 2011, wearing t-shirts with a logo designed by a Victor Scott student.
The BFRS want the Victor Scott Primary School students to draw a picture that best represents their slogan, “Walking for Our Future.” and the winning picture will become the logo, and will be printed on the tee shirts to be worn by firefighters during the Middle-To-End Walk.
In addition, the winning artist along with seven runner-ups will get a tee shirt and will be carried individually on a rescue board as part of an alternating relay from Albouy’s Point to Dockyard.
All drawings must be submitted on paper approximately 8½” x 11” in size, the students name, age and grade should be written on the bottom right hand corner on back of the paper. Submissions should represent what the slogan “Walking for Our Future” means to you, and may also reflect other creative thoughts based on topics including Firefighters, Community Relations, Serving and Youth. All submissions must be completed and returned to your school by Wednesday March 23, 2011.
Firefighters will visit Victor Scott and announce the overall winner and runner-ups on Thursday March 24, 2011, and the BFRS say they are “excited that the Victor Scott School administrators and students have agreed to help create our logo. We are anxious to see all your creative and beautiful pictures, and will proudly wear one on May 7, 2011 as we ‘Walk for Our Future.”
