Three Males Arrested For Robbery

Three males [aged 16, 17 and 25] have been arrested in connection with a robbery. The victim, 20, was accosted by five men in the area of Camp Hill and the Railway Trail in Southampton. The assailants stole a quantity of cash and a motorcycle helmet from the victim before fleeing the scene. Police said the victim and the assailants apparently know each other.

At 12 noon on Wednesday, March 2nd 2011 Police received a report of a robbery.

It appears that the victim, a 20 year old Sandys parish man, was accosted by five young men between 6pm and 7pm on Monday, February 28th 2011 in the area of Camp Hill and the Railway Trail in Southampton.

The assailants took a quantity of cash and a motorcycle helmet from the Sandys parish man before fleeing the scene. The victim and the assailants apparently know each other.

Three of the suspects, a 16 year old young man from Southampton, a 17 year old young man from Warwick and a 25 year old Paget man have been arrested in connection with the incident. Inquiries are ongoing.

    What honestly is so difficult about earning your way in life and not having to steal someone’s belongings? The sense of entitlement of some people on this island, especially within today’s youth, is sickening to be honest. The rationalization for it I heard from a couple of kids the other day was just sad and laughable at the same time:

    “I can’t afford that stuff and if I don’t take it, I’ll never get it.”

    Is it also done out of desperation, jealousy, or peer pressure while lacking any sufficient neurons firing in their heads?
