CADA Launches Streets Smarts Campaign
CADA, encouraging responsible alcohol behavior, today announced the launch of their Street Smarts campaign as part of the April is Alcohol Awareness Month observations.
In making the announcement, CADA Chairman, Mr. Anthony Santucci stated, “CADA board members and staff, over the weekend, have placed signs and banners around the island as a reminder not to drink and drive. We know alcohol and or drugs play a major role in the vast majority deaths on Bermuda’s roads. The signs are a reminder to motorists not to drink and drive and to encourage people to visit cada.bm for more information about Alcohol Awareness Month activities.”
Mr. Santucci added, “The signs and banners have been placed in highly visible places where there is generally a lot of traffic. We recognize that alcohol consumption does not happen only at night. People may have a glass or two of wine at lunch or grab a beer because it is hot. The important thing is to realize that if you do drink you should not drive.”
In addition to the Street Smarts signage campaign, CADA will host an Open House on Wednesday April 6, between 11am and 2pm.
Mr. Santucci concluded, “The public is invited to an Open House in our offices on the third floor of the Melbourne Building, on the corner of Victoria and Parliament Streets, to get additional information on the month’s campaigns and the services we offer. Board members and staff will be on hand to provide answer questions. Light refreshments will also be served.”
