La Serena Spa Honored By Condé Nast
For the second consecutive year, La Serena Spa at The Reefs has been named the “best in Bermuda” by Condé Nast Traveler and its readers. The prestigious travel magazine just released its 2011 list of the Top 250 Spas in the world. The Reefs was the #8 resort spa in the Caribbean and Atlantic region.
With a score of 92.4, The Reefs is the top-rated resort spa in Bermuda by Conde Nast. The other Bermuda resort to make the list is the Fairmont Southampton, which came in at #19 with a score of 87.4.
La Serena Spa Director Margarita Dodwell attributes the 8-room spa’s success to the focus on the guest experience. “It’s not the size or amenities that matter as much as the level of service,” says Mrs. Dodwell. “In fact, our intimate spa allows us to be more personal and service-oriented.”
“This award is well-deserved by our therapists and staff who exemplify the utmost in professionalism, take great pride in their work and truly care about their clients,” Mrs. Dodwell adds.
La Serena Spa is the only Elemis of London spa on Bermuda, and therapists receive ongoing training from Elemis professionals. .
The Condé Nast Traveler Top Spas list is compiled from data in the 2010 Reader’s Choice Survey. The list is featured in the publication’s June 2011 issue, on newsstands now, and available online.

Congrats to the therapists who made this possible ; however you would need professional training and many years experience to obtain a Spa Director Designation . But then again , this is Bermuda and it’s truly another world .
