Police: “No Major Incidents” On May 24th

police badge logoThe Police have thanked the public for their co-operation over the Bermuda Day holiday, and said that “no major incidents were reported.”

The Police previously pledged to maintain high visibility patrols throughout the Bermuda Day holiday, and conducted stop & search checks at various locations.

Although there were no major incidents, five people were arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, officers responded to seven loud music complaints, and there was a disturbance on Front Street early this morning that saw three men briefly arrested.

A Police spokesman said, “The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their co-operation over the Bermuda Day holiday.”

“Despite a few apparently minor disputes, there were no reports received of anyone being seriously injured. In addition no major incidents were reported.”

“Police officers provided high visibility patrols throughout the Bermuda Day holiday, conducting stop & search checks at various locations. Five people were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and officers responded to seven reports of loud music.”
