58 Year Old Injured In Collision

A 58 year old Smith’s parish man was injured after the rental bike he was riding was involved in a collision with a car yesterday [June 27] on South Road.

Full Police Statement:

Around 11pm on Monday, police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Smith’s parish in the vicinity of John Smith’s Bay.

It appears that a car and a rental cycle were traveling along South Road when they collided. The rental cycle rider, a 58 year old Smith’s parish man, was injured. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The car driver, a 71 year old woman, was not injured. The car received moderate damage while the rental cycle was extensively damaged.

Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Stephen Millar on 295-0011.
