Cruise Ship Worker Hospitalized After Fight
A cruise ship worker was hospitalized after an altercation early this morning [June 7] at Snorkel Park in Dockyard.
An altercation had taken place between two male cruise ship employees and a group of local men, which was broken up by Snorkel Park’s security staff.
A Police spokesman said, “Around 2:35am on Tuesday, police attended a disturbance at Snorkel Park in Dockyard. An altercation had taken place between two male cruise ship employees and a group of local men.”
“Security staff at Snorkel Park immediately responded and broke up the fight, but not before both cruise ship employees and one of the security staff had been assaulted.”
“One of the crew members received the worst of the injuries that required admission to the hospital. His injuries are not considered life threatening.”
“An investigation is underway, but no arrests have been made at this point. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

I was at wine cellar on the weekend and a large group of tourist started a fight, they. Security kicked them out.!
ya, you guys are all wrong, i was actually up snorkel las night and them damn guys from either bahamas or jamaica that work on that cruise ship started it, they think they can just deal with bermudians anyway, but they sure taught them a lesson. and no, it wasnt over a girl LOL

One of the guys took a full force kick to the front of the face when he was on the ground, got knocked out cold. If they were Jamaican, serves them right. They always think theyr’e “bud mon” and carry on how they feel. Guess they were showed that crap don’t fly down here Lol
Typical Bermudians, always assuming. The cruise ship workers that got “assulted” are at Snorkel Park every week starting fights with Bermudian men. The only difference this time is that the Bermudian men they chose to start with decided to react.
The real problem here is that Bermudians HATE EACH OTHER SO MUCH that they are quick to bad mouth and put the next man down. Maybe we should start to LOVE AND DEFEND each other, instead of always defending the wrong. Why are half these comments talking about the “hate” we have towards tourists? I agree with you..A couple of years ago a similar, well actually the same type of thing happened..Cruise ship workers STARTED the fight with some local boys..they (cruise ship workesr) bit off more than they could chew and ended up getting ‘The short end of the stick”..Local boys arrested…Cruise ship workers never came back..case dismissed.. True story…my son was one of those arrested..So to all the naysayers don’t always ASSUME!!!!
