ISL Soccer: Kings, Knights, Storm Win

3soc110626Week #2 of the 2011 Lindo’s ISL season ended with three entertaining games yesterday [June 26].

The first match saw the Kings double up the Royal 8-4. Milton Ferreira recorded his second hat trick in as many games and Richard Holden scored two goals to propel the Kings to their first win of the season. Troy Hall made 10 saves for the Kings.

The Knights outlasted the Apex 8-6. Ian Coke scored the hat trick and Shayne Hollis broke a 5-5 tie late in the third quarter. Jahron Dickinson had a hat trick for the Apex. Apex GK Daniel Johnson made 14 saves. Nigel Burgess had his first double digit save performance for the Knights this year turning away 12 Apex shots.

The Storm notched their first win of the season 8-3 over the Titans. Dmitri Butterfield had a hat trick and Drewonde Butterfield scored two goals for Storm. Lonnie Bascome scored two goals for the Titans in a losing effort. The band Hindsight performed in between games for the fans at National Stadium.

Lindo’s ISL action resumes this coming Tuesday with G.E.T. Limited Red Division action. The Union take on the Royal at 7:30 and the Kings battle the Arsenal at 8:45 pm.

The 2nd installment of Gospel nights has just been announced and is set for Sunday July 3rd at National Stadium. Scheduled to perform are MONTY G, POSITIVE, SIS SAM, GENEMAN, DEONDRE MORRIS, AND FYAH B. Log onto Islandstats.com and watch the Lindo’s ISL weekly show live every Thursday at 1 pm.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased for $10 at all Lindo’s, and Sidekicks locations. They can also be purchased at the International Sports Store, the BFA, and the Pro Shop.
