Two Injured In Pembroke Accident

Two motorcyclists were taken to hospital last night [June 15] after they collided outside Point Mart in Pembroke.

A Police spokesman said, “Around 8:30pm on Wednesday, police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on St. John’s Road in Pembroke in the vicinity of Point Mart involving two motorcycles. ”

“It appears that one motorcycle was traveling along St. John’s Road and the other motorcycle was exiting Point Mart parking lot when they collided. Both riders, a 24 year old Pembroke man and a 33 year old Warwick woman respectively, were injured; however the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.”

“Both motorcycles were damaged. Traffic was diverted away from the scene for approximately half an hour. Inquiries into this incident are underway.”

As of this afternoon, the male who was injured is listed as stable on a general ward, while the female motorcyclist has been released from the hospital.
