Inclement Weather: Beat the Retreat Cancelled
Tonight’s [July 20] Beating of the Retreat is cancelled due to the inclement weather.
The Bermuda Islands Pipe Band and lady dancers and the Band and Corps of Drums of the Bermuda Regiment were due to present their midsummer Beating Retreat at the Flag Pole on Front Street at 9:00pm.
For today’s forecast the Bermuda Weather Service said, “A large area of rain, showers and imbedded thunder will pass through the island this evening as moisture from a surface trough and from Tropical Storm Bret merges over the region.”
