Jelani & Mack: ‘High School High Life’
When you ask Jelani, 15 and Mack, 18, ‘how was school’ they reply with smooth, thought-provoking lyrics. They take their futures in the music industry very seriously and Jelani will tell you: respice finem, keep the end in view.
A spokesperson said, “Their new mix tape High School High Life gives listeners a chance to see life as a teenager in Bermuda, through the eyes of Jelani and Mack, as they take things one class at a time. The difference in their content and flow is symbolic as they each represent different sides of the school system, public (Jelani-Berkeley) versus private (Mack-Saltus).”
“Since it was released last week Thursday, June 23, 2011 the mix tape has been viewed over 4000 times and downloaded over 400 times—this is just the beginning. “Blue Skies” Jelani’s first single has been requested and played on local radio stations and Mack has just completed his first music video “Paris Morton”. Jelani and Mack had their first performance promoting High School High Life at ISL games on Thursday June 30, 2011.”
