MOU Signed: BPSU To Represent City Staff

Mayor Charles Gosling, BPSU President Mr. Kevin Grant and BPSU General Secretary Mr. Ed Ball, Jr., yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding which provides union representation to the City’s Management and Administrative staff.

During the signing, Mayor Gosling said, “The signing of today’s Memorandum of Understanding with the BPSU brings the management and administrative team in line with the rest of the City staff.”

“The office staff are already represented by the BPSU and the industrial staff are members of the BIU. With a changing and uncertain work environment, it is important for all staff to have a sense of security that this benefit will bring.”

According to BPSU President, Mr. Kevin Grant, “The BPSU has maintained a good working relationship with the City of Hamilton. The signing of the MOU further extends our relationship and provides union representation for the senior-most and administrative staff.”

    The key word is ‘management’. They will be well represented by this Union. You win some and you lose some…those one hundred plus Customs Officers who terminated their B.P.S.U. membership recently, made a wise decision.

    Can someone tell me if BPSU offers gym discounts to a gym in town! I live in Somerset and do not see myself driving to North Shore for the current gym discount! Thanks!

      Wasn’t the BPSU President just on TV encouraging his members to be frugal? Are you saying that the same Union is also encouraging members to pay for a gym membership? A few sit-ups and nice brisk, long walk is free…now that’s being frugal!
