.Net Users Group To Host Meeting

The Bermuda .NET Users Group will be hosting a free talk on July 21 where attendees will learn about migrating from windows forms to WPF / Silverlight plus have a chance to win a Microsoft MSDN license.

A spokesperson said, “Group meetings will be held three times a year and discussions will range from coding techniques to general architecture to .NET “best known methods” – and beyond. Additionally the group will bring well known “celebrities” from the Microsoft development community to come and talk about their areas of specialty on a regular basis. The talks will be cutting edge, dynamic and interactive. Learning is the goal.”

“This is a FREE event with giveaways, cocktails and a chance to network with your peers. It is open to anyone but most subjects will be geared to the following audience: Software developers, Database Administrators, Quality Assurance Professionals, CIO, Risk Officers, Actuaries, Modelers, students or anyone interested in learning more about software development.”

The spokesperson noted, “The speaker at the event will be Raffaele Garofalo, a .NET software architect who builds Line-of-Business applications for a living. He is passionate about .NET and WPF and spends his free time writing articles and blog posts about WPF and the MVVM. He is Microsoft Certified [MCAD, MCSD, MCTS SQL and SharePoint].
