Man Arrested After Smashing Car Into Wall

Early this morning [Aug.17] a 22-year-old Southampton man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after his car smashed into a wall on Middle Road, Paget. He subsequently failed the alco-analyser test

A police spokesperson said, “Around 2:45am on Wednesday August 17th, Police attended a single vehicle collision on Middle Road, Paget.”

“On arrival, officers noticed an unoccupied car that had collided with a wall. The driver, a 22 year old Southampton man, soon returned to the scene and was arrested and detained on suspicion of impaired driving.”

“He subsequently failed the alco-analyser test. Anyone with any information with regard to this incident can contact the Somerset Police Station on 234-1010.”
