  1. United says:

Kind of a dumb statement “almost ten” don’t you think? If you say there are eight contestants or nine or eleven but almost ten?

  2. Dunno says:

It should be illegal for women under 18 to wear bikinis…

    • A Bermudian says:

yea, i don’t really think we should be promoting it like this. something doesn’t sit right. i’m only 19 and definitely not a prude or anything, just seems kinda weird.

      • haha says:

Are you serious? They had Miss Teen Bermuda’s in the mid 90s. and in the 70s. All of the girls look tasteful. Do you think that teenagers don’t wear bikinis? Why do people always have to cast a negative light on things that are meant to be positive?

      • Cassy says:

I know what you mean. It seems weird that these young girls are walking around in bathing suits while older men and women stare at them and judge them on their beauty. I feel that Miss Teen Pagent should be a little more conservative and moderate. I mean, yes they are all beautiful but technically it is illegal for these men to look at their almost bare bodies.

        • DIGUSTED says:

It disgusts me that Bermudians NEVER want to support their own. These are young BERMUDIAN WOMEN trying to set them selves as a role model for other young women. If it was miss world or miss ‘teen’ american or ANYWHERE else we would be congradulating.

Can anyone young or old stop a perverted man from staring at them? NO. so technically illegal….WHAT?!?!?! ANYWAY… I guess we should close all the public beaches and wear long garments….

I congradulate these young women for stepping out as role models not staying at home and getting preggo like the rest…

          • Boss Lady says:

@DIGUSTED YOU ARE ON POINT!! These young ladies have been working hard and can’t even get the support from their own. SAD… really.

        • Think about it says:

No it’s not. Although the age range is 13-18, looking at these girls, I’m pretty sure they’re all at least 16, 17. The legal age of consent in Bermuda is 16. So a grown man LOOKING at them is definitely not illegal.

          Think before you speak.

          • Somerset all de way says:

I am not saying I do not want them to do the competition. Congrats to whomever wins but I would not want my teenage daughter doing this. She can go to the beach in a bikini but to walk around on stage in a bathingsuit I do not like. I am not conservative but when I go to the beach I will have my bathingsuit on but when I am not at the beach I cover my girls as to not attract to many wondering eyes. I should not have written about the illegal part, I just feel that these shows may attract to much unnessecary attention to these young girls. Like I said, they are beautiful and all but to parade around in front of grown men in their bathinsuits on stage seems somewhat innapropriate. Just my opinion, dont shoot me for it

            • Boss Lady says:

@Somerset all de way -Please check your facts before you “assume”. There will be no “PARADE” of bathing suits during the pageant. What you see was in fact IS the bathing suit portion of the pageant.

              • R. Brangman says:

And I am assuming that this bathing suit portion of the show had an audience. Ok well go ahead and let your 13 year old daughter walk around in front of a bunch of people who are staring at her bare body while they judge her on her based on her beauty. And next ya gonna say its not about beauty, then why is it called a BEAUTY pagent? Im sure they can judge them on beauty with their clothes on. This is just another way to get these girls half naked without actually going to the beach to watch them or peek through their window.

                • M Simons says:

                  FACT 1
The girls took the photo shoot with adults present.

The parade the b/suit with only the judges. The were not on stage that night parade for the 200 odd people.

It is not a beauty pageant and not called a beauty pageant..”Talented Teen Pagent” and yes they are taught how to walk in their bathing suit and carry themselves at the beach…they look tastefull they are not letting it all hang out!

            • what!!1 says:

So grown man don’t go to the beach, thats where predetors would go is to a beach not to to a Miss Teen contest.

        • enough says:

What’s illegal about it? Not like anyone’s peering through bedroom windows.

        • United says:

What then do you suppose or suggest for beach attire? Is it not the same? Men young and old will be looking or gawking at them either way. Stop casting aspersions and look at it for what it is. A beauty pageant, a classy, and tasteful pageant.

    • Point Boi says:

why should it be illegal for ‘women’ (your words, not mine m8)

  3. Sheriff says:

    Go Kira !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • it is what it is says:

Auntie loves you Kira…….Best of luck!!! you go girl!!! You look awesome….stay strong, stay focused!!!!!

  12. pebblebeach says:

  13. Terry says:

    Go Miss St. Davids……

  14. techin says:

I hope the winner has a named that is phonetically pronounced. #imjussayin

  15. Sunshine says:

OMG have you never seen a bikini before or something?!?! Go to the beach once in a while. Anyway the young ladies look beautiful and I wish them all the best!

@United I do agree that almost 10 sounds a bit remedial.

  16. Terry says:

And I hope your Son and Daugghter are called Fred and Jane………………………ashole…

  17. Haile to Bermuda says:

I wonder what the talents are in this contest for them to be in bathing suits…Why do we have to use our young women this way? And where are all the women rights movements when it come to this type of soliciting going on…
These girls don’t look any older then 12yrs
What next, a saggy pants contest for the little boy…

  18. GlobalCitizen says:

I hope this contest is a real contest unlike the fixed Miss Bermuda Pagent!
Good Luck to all the girls!
