Bobby DeCosta & Chris Wells in D13 won today’s [Aug.14] Round the Island boat race, which saw approximately 30 finely tuned boats race around the island at tops speeds. That is an unofficial result – we are waiting on the full results and hope to update with them later today along with additional photos and videos. Is it me or there were a lot of folks swimmin/jetsking awfully close to the coarse? I can only speak for the stretch down kindley field but i’m saying….even though “not close” a boat moving at high speeds that may flip over, there’s no telling where it will go in the water and how far. More safety controls are needed around the course or someone will liably get hurt.
Good day,you are absolutely right, but I must say that as the Commodore of the powerboat association, we do our very best to police the course,but there are still people out there who lack common sense and do as they please.not matter how many warning signs or commercials we put out, we spend thousands of dollars in insurance as well as for equiptment to keep the public out of harms way, but people don’t listen and then want to bad mouth or challenge us on things. People need to also realize that we are not just racers, but parents too. I have 2 little girls.

Ok congrats for the win but is he the real winner?, from what i was told him and a few others including the one that has a video on here missed the bouy a few times. If so how much time should be deducted from them doing so?

That Point Mart crew protested you because you cut their A** they needed that to take them off their high horse. Now go suck on that Point Mart.
