Chewstick Promises A Halloween Thriller

The Chewstick Foundation is promising a thriller of an event this evening [Oct. 30] when it stages the Halloween edition of its regular Open-Mic Jam Session.

Taking place at Chewstick’s Neo-Griot Lounge & Cafe on Elliott Street, the musical and cultural organisation is inviting all Bermuda rappers, singers, poets and artists to participate.

“Bring your guitar, bring your friends and get ready for vibes at Bermuda’s number one open mic, going strong EVERY Sunday,” said a spokesman. “Come early, stay late and show ya stuff pon de mic! Doors open at 8 pm and admission is free before 9 p,m: it’s $10 after that.

“Be there or be mug! This one’s special, so come in costume, there’ll be a prize for the most interesting/intriguing/amusing or scary outfit.”
