Man Arrested After Queen Street Accident

A 26-year-old man was arrested after being leaving the scene of an accident on Queen Street yesterday afternoon [Oct.27].

A police spokesperson said, “At 12:15 pm on Thursday October 27th, Police responded to a reported road traffic collision on Queen Street in Pembroke between a car and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were travelling on Queen Street when they collided.”

“The rider of the bike, a 25 year old Sandys man sustained minor injuries. The driver of the car, a 26 year old Warwick man left the scene of the collision but was apprehended by officers in the area a short while later.”

“He was then arrested and transported to Hamilton Police Station. Inquiries into this incident are underway.”
