Patterson & Froud Win Trunk Island Race

99 swimmers braved the Harrington Sound Waters to take part in the Trunk Island Swim yesterday [Oct.9]. The race was won by two teenagers, with Nicholas Patterson taking the Men’s title, while Sophie Froud won the Ladies.

Patterson was clocked at the mat with a time of 17:44, with Kevin Insley finishing second in 17:54 and Nick Strong was third clocking a time of 18:09. Thirteen year old Tyler Smith finished 4th overall clocking a time of 18:56.

Froud finished 11th overall with a time of 19:48, while Bridgett Telenko finished 15th overall finishing as the second female finisher with a time of 20.06, while Somer Froud was 16th overall and the third female finisher with a time of 20:12.
