Photos: 2011 Bermuda’s Fashion Night Out
Last night [Sept.30] the Chamber of Commerce hosted the ‘Bermuda Fashion Night Out’ in Hamilton, with various retailers offering special discounts, wine tastings, live models, music and more. Many of the stores stayed open late, while restaurants offered special discounts to diners, along with special drink prices.
Miss Bermuda Jana Outerbridge modeled various outfits from A.S. Coopers, who recently stepped up to assist Miss Outerbridge with her wardrobe requirements for the thee week trip to the UK for the duration of the Miss World Pageant.
Numerous stores had ‘photo ops’ on their ‘black carpet’ with some of the island’s top photographers out catching the action; while models walked around the Washington Mall representing various stores.
Some of the participating retailers included 27th Century Boutique, Calypso, Carole Holding Shop, French Connection, Gibbons Company, MaxMara, Pulp & Circumstance, Sisley, The Body Shop, United Colors of Benetton, Voila, Nine West, Twenty 5 Reid, M.A.C Cosmetics, Cecile, Boutique CC, Lusso, Atelerie, Daisy and Mac and more.
Earlier in the day Premier Paula Cox announced payroll tax relief for the retail sector, as well as an increase in duty payable at the airport from 25% to 35%.

Love the photos Bernews. What a great night! This was a wonderful initiative by the Chamber.
All the great deals made my Cheapskate shoppers VERY Happy. Thanks COC.
BUY BERMUDA
Looks like a big success.
I enjoyed the night. Good idea to attract Bermudians into the city to shop. Looking at the photos there were spots I didn’t make it to.
Will add that the sales staff that I encountered were friendly and helpful and I found some bargains.
Buy Bermuda.
