Purnell Scores Both Goals In Philly Victory
Philadelphia University won their second straight soccer game with a 2 – 0 win over Nyack College at Ravenhill Field, with Bermudian footballer Ryan Purnell scoring both the goals.
Senior midfielder Ryan Purnell scored the first goal in the 31st minute when he got on the end of a pass from senior forward Milos Racic, and then the second just six minutes later unassisted. Purnell leads the team with eight goals this season.
He is currently studying for a degree in marketing at Philadelphia University, was awarded the Carlton “Pepe” Dill Scholarship valued at $15,000 per year last year, and was recently named Player of the Week by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
