Motorcycle/Truck Collide: Rider Hurt

Emergency personnel responded to a report of an accident on Sunday [Oct.9] evening in Southampton, in which a motorcycle collided with a truck.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 6:30pm on Sunday October 9, police attended a reported traffic collision on Riviera Road in Southampton parish between a truck and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were travelling along Riviera Road in opposite directions when the vehicles collided.”

“The rider of the motorcycle, a 29 year old Southampton man was conveyed to KEMH for treatment. His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening. The driver of the truck, a 24 year old Southampton man was uninjured. Both vehicles were damaged.”

“Inquiries into this incident are underway. Anyone with any information with regard to this incident is encouraged to contact PC Linnell Williams on 295-0011.”
