XL Partners With “Financial Times”
XL Group this week announced its sponsorship of a new “Financial Times” digital initiative focussed on the changing trends in global business and how those trends impact companies’ operations.
Headquartered in Ireland with its principal executive offices in Bermuda, XL is one of the world’s leading re/insurance and financial services companies.
“The Future of the Company” project will include news, analysis and commentary by XL and the “Financial Times” — one of the world’s leading business newspapers — as well as panel interviews with key business leaders.
Mike McGavick, Chief Executive Officer of XL, said: “XL is dedicated to understanding shifting business dynamics and helping our clients thrive in increasingly complex and changing environments: ‘The Future of the Company’ platform will allow us to offer insights and commentary on these essential topics to a global and diverse audience and feature insights from XL experts. We are thrilled to be at the forefront of this important conversation with the ‘Financial Times’.”
Ben Hughes, Global Commercial Director and Deputy Chief Executive of the “Financial Times”, said: “We are delighted to be launching the new online series ‘The Future of the Company’ with the support of XL in its anniversary year”.
The new franchise will be presented in two parts. Part one of the series will include an introductory discussion on broad issues that affect the future of a company, moderated by and featuring selected “Financial Times” contributors, and an analysis of how companies can best position themselves to remain competitive in their fields.
The content in part one will also include articles by some of XL’s risk management experts on the impact of global construction in the next decade, and how companies and insurers can embrace and protect sustainable development.
Part two of “The Future of the Company” series will focus on the critical importance of talent and technology in the success of companies, and will include additional features developed by XL.
XL Group plc, through its subsidiaries, is a global insurance and reinsurance company providing property, casualty and specialty products to industrial, commercial and professional firms, insurance companies and other enterprises throughout the world.
