Football: First & Premier Division Results

A number of football games took place across Bermuda this past weekend, the  results of the First and Premier Division matches follow below:

First Division

Devonshire Colts 6 Ireland Rangers 0

At the Police Field, Giovanni Saltus gave Devonshire Colts the lead in the 2nd minute when he followed up a shot that the Ireland Rangers goalkeeper did not collect. Lozendro Symonds doubled the lead for the Devonshire Colts minutes before half time, Zuri Darrell made it 3 – 0 to the Devonshire Colts in the 53rd minute and then two minutes later Eurique Wilkin scored. Saltus made it 5 – 0 in the 69th minute, before Symonds closed out the scoring in the 87th minute.

X’Road’s 1 Wolves 3

At the Garrison Field, Rico Beek gave X’Road’s the lead in the 10th minute, only to have Derek Brangman pull a goal back for Wolves in the 26th minute, Brangman gave Wolves the lead in the 58th minute when he converted from the penalty spot, before Sergio Richardson closed out the scoring for Wolves in the 85th minute.

Paget Lions 1 Hamilton Parish 2

At the White Hill Field, visiting Hamilton Parish went in front in the 10th minute through an own goal, Ryan Richardson doubled the visitors lead in the 50th minute, Robert Lee pulled a goal back for the Paget Lions, but they could not find the equalizer.

Prospect United 1 Young Men Social Club 1

At the Police Field, David Tisunent gave the home team Prospect United the lead in the 43rd minute, but Leonard Raynor equalized for Young Men Social Club in the 89th minute.

Somerset Eagles 1 BAA 2

At the White Hill Field, London Roberts converted from the penalty spot and Dante Taylor scored the other as visiting BAA defeated the Somerset Eagles 2 – 1. Kevin Lambert scored the lone goal for the home team.

Premier Division

PHC Zebras 3 Devonshire Cougars 0

At the Southampton Oval, Cecoy Robinson gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the first half, Lonnie Bascome doubled the lead in the 75th minute and then Antwan Russell closed out the scoring for PHC as they defeated the Devonshire Cougars 3 – 0.

Dandy Town Hornets 1 Southampton Rangers 0

At the St. John’s Field, a lone goal from Jahmel Swan gave the home team Dandy Town Hornets a 1 – 0 win over the visiting Southampton Rangers
