2011 Rugby Classic Gets Underway Today

After the originally scheduled date was postponed due to gale force winds, the World Rugby Classic is set to kick off this evening [Nov.8] at the National Sports Centre.

The First Round Matches will be held tonight, with the gates opening at 5.30pm. The first game is New Zealand vs. the United States (A) at 7.15pm, followed by Classic Lions vs. the Italy (B) at 8.30pm. From 10pm, there will be entertainment in the Tent Tavern from Music Maniac DJ Leigh Hawke.

All Monday badges and tickets will be honoured at this evening’s event. The revised schedule follows below:

Tuesday November 8th

  • 5.30PM: Gates Open
  • 5.45PM: Hospitality Village opens
  • 7.15pm: New Zealand vs. United States A
  • 8.30pm: Classic Lions vs. Italy B
  • 10.00pm: Entertainment in the Tent Tavern

Wednesday November 9th

  • 5.30PM: Gates Open
  • 5.45PM: Hospitality Village opens
  • 7.15pm: Argentina vs. South Africa C
  • 8.30pm: Australia vs. Canada D
  • 10.00pm: Entertainment in the Tent Tavern

Thursday, November 10th

  • 5.30PM: Gates Open
  • 5.45PM: Hospitality Village opens
  • 7.15pm: Plate Semi-Final Loser A vs. Loser B
  • 8.30pm: Classic Semi-Final Winner A vs. Winner B
  • 10.00pm: Entertainment in the Tent Tavern

Friday, November 11th

  • Time TBA: Gates Open
  • Time TBA: Hospitality Village opens
  • Time TBA: Bermuda XV vs. Montreal Irish
  • Time TBA: Plate Semi-Final Loser C vs. Loser D
  • Time TBA: Classic Semi-Final Winner C vs. Winner D

Saturday November 12th

  • 4.00PM: Gates Open
  • 4.30PM: Hospitality Village opens
  • 5.00pm: Bermuda Barbarians vs. White Plains RFC
  • 6.30pm: Plate Final
  • 8.00pm: Classic Final
  • 10.00pm: Farewell Party in the Tent Tavern
