  2. Hello says:

Please identify the address instead of just Middle Road Southampton. That covers a huge area.

    • PEPPER says:

I would also like to know exactly where in southampton this raid took place. maybe bernews can find out more ..

      • OMG says:

If you saw the ZBM news last night you would have known exactly were it was. Took me a few minutes but finally was able to put the pieces together.

    • 'bout time says:

If you saw the place on the news tonight you’d have quickly recognized it .. Been a house of ill repute for years and years.
I’m surprised it took so long to bust the place .

On the railway tracks nearly opposite Five Star Island.

      • it is what it is says:

Not the first time its been busted..just the first time that they have been successful……

      • Islander says:

you said it right bout time!

      • There goes my local says:

Finally my neighborhood is being cleaned up! I have been complaining to the police for 10 years about that place!! I think the “GP” plated cars that kept going there might have been preventing things from progressing…

  3. bermyshotta says:

    FREE UP DE HERB

    • will says:

dude no one wants weed decriminalised more than me…saying free up de herb in this case when they had loads of coke and weapons…i say free up the prison system to accept these people!

  4. THE HELL says:

What the Police fail to tell the public is that on many occasion’s many of these raids are a result of a tip from a member of the public not from their intelligence or lack there of. So be careful with your praise. All may not be what it seems.

    • Truth (Original) says:

Tips from the public form part of what is called “Police Intelligence”. I wuold venture to say that it is perhaps the most important element. They simply cannot be all places at all times and therefore must rely on responsible citizens to help.

      The praise is rightly deserved.

    • shutupandgoaway says:

@ THE HELL – Every silver lining has a cloud – huh?

Praise is due when the members of the BPS develop the information provided by right minded members of the public, then put themselves in harms way by knocking on/down the door of a drug dealer who is also in possession of weapons that could easily be used against them.

It’s easy to spew negativity from behind the safety of a computer screen – walk a mile – then comment!

    • Ryan Whiting says:

… what does that matter? As long as they received information and acted on it, it is of little importance of whether that knowledge came from a member of the public or from within their own circle of intelligence! In fact, I would be extremely pleased to know that the public is taking an active role in aiding the police, instead of withholding valuable information.

Honestly, I think that some people come on here for the express purpose of finding fault in circumstances in which there none should be found.

As an aside, well done Bermuda Police Service; your efforts in this matter are much appreciated, and I think that it is of little consequence whom your sources of information are.

    • For real says:

Who cares how they found out just as long as these dudes are busted and drugs and weapons are off the streets, that’s all I care about. Power to the people who are coming forth with this information.

    • OMG says:

and so what if it is not the BPS who may have nailed this? The BPS cannot be everywhere but in this case they responded and got the “haul”.
More members of the public need to stand up and be counted if we want this crime spree to finish!!!

    • Got My Ticket... says:

Where do you think a lot of intelligence comes from worldwide in agencies?

    • Terry says:

Tips are part of intelligence @shole

Were doomed with comments like that.

    • smh says:

ITS NONE OF ME OR THE REST OF THE PUBLIC’S BUSINESS HOW THEY FOUND OUT!

You people need to remember that the police may know who criminals are but they obviously need evidence before they go and bang down someone’s home. With a helpful tip that gave them a good enough amount of evidence to pursue. They stepped it up and raided the house!

What you want them say “Police got this information from an anonymous tipper”?. Well that would be STUPID, considering that most of these tippers want to remain anonymous. All these guys have to do is square down on who they know has been around to prove this to the police and the tipper would be obvious! I don’t care if they have to cover up their tracks of evidence to help the anonymous tipper.

I am grateful for whoever, if someone ever tipped the police, & whoever you are THANK YOU FOR STEPPING UP!

But I also must say that I may not agree with certain situations within the police force but I give them full praise for this. My island is one gun safer now.

      • The Whole Truth!! says:

Did the article mention anything about a gun…. i’m just asking?

      • Street Business says:

The tipper is most likely a jealous neighbor looking to get them out of a house they most likely want. Crying wolf everytime there hear loud music, cars in the yard or people outside bbq’n. Well it looks like the neighbor who has been complaining for 10 years finally won.

  5. Watching says:

Don’t care if it’s a tip from a member of the public or their intelligence, GREAT JOB BERMUDA POLICE SERVICE !!!!!!!!

  6. SK says:

Between Five Star Island and Port Royal Post Office . Shut them down and move ‘em out . From freedom to fenced in .

  7. Islander says:

Karma is a bitch! I hope they finally get him…this house is known for all kinds of illegal activities..They thought they couldn’t be touched!..Good job!

  8. Triangle Drifter says:

Lets have a photo of the place, who owns it, mug shots of those arrested. Information that is released imediatley anywhere else.

    • Islander says:

Triangle this person does not rent this property he lives there with his mother and shes as shady as they come…and knows full well what her child is into and benefits from it.

  9. Truth is killin' me... says:

PC 1834 please check that ICE CREAM truck. Ok Sarge. (5 mins later)…’ELLO ‘ ELLO SON…WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE???!!!

  10. THE HELL!! says:

WoW I didn’t mean to offend so many officers of the law.. I give all praise to them for their work but & I know its difficult being a former cop in LA. But please don’t Bull Sh**t the people..That’s all I’m saying

  11. Can't Take It Anymore says:

So all know, I found out some very valuable info last night about this from someone who lives right there. The above story is not cmopletely true. Becareful of what you read and beleive. Not all is rosy and sunshine.

  12. bda for life says:

Hey”there goes my local” when you were witnessing all the GP cars coming in and out of the neighborhood why didnt you record the car numbers and report it then? It sounds like you were benefitting as well or are u just ignorant!!
