Attempted Armed Robbery On Happy Valley
Just before noon today [Nov.22] three men – one carrying a gun – attempted to break into a Happy Valley residence.
One of the suspects threatened persons in the area by pointing the gun at them, and the complainant reports that his 6-month old Pit Bull Terrier was removed from outside the house. Police have arrested two men for a related matter and they are in custody pending further investigations.
A police spokesperson said, “About 11.45am Tuesday, November 22nd police received a report of three men attempting to break and enter a residence located on Happy Valley Road in Pembroke Parish.
“On arrival at the scene police officers received information that the men were armed with what appeared to be a firearm and one of the suspects threatened persons in the area by pointing the weapon.
“No entry was gained inside the residence. At the time of this incident none of the occupants of the targeted premises was at home, however the complainant reports that his 6-month old Pit Bull Terrier was removed from outside the residence.
“Police made a search of the Curving Avenue, St. Augustine Hill areas and have arrested two men for a related matter and they remain in custody pending interview/further investigations.
“Persons with any information are asked to contact police at 295-0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-TIPS (8477).”

What he’s trying to say is that if this happened at a residence on Harbor Road there would be scores of comments. Just like the shooting that occured at the Paget round-about. After that incident there was hundreds of comments. Why? Because its fine and dandy when these incidents are on Court st, or Elliot st/ Princess st but once it gets outside of these grey areas it scare the regular people who make comments. Majority of these daily commentators are of the white community or expat workers.

There (not their) are people of many origins who live in the Happy Valley area. They’re (not there) mostly good people and mind their (not they’re) own business.
Some of them even know (not no) the English language and how to write (not right or rite) a sentence.
But there’s always going to be some a-hole who brings up race.
It was actually I that arrived on the scene first. I knocked the dog out with the sleeping gas I keep in my utility belt because he started to bark and give away my position. I then proceeded to disarm the thugs with a couple batarangs and tied them up before the police arrived.
No need to thank me, just another night on the job for me.
