BTFA National Cross Country Champs
The BTFA National Cross Country Championships will take place this coming Saturday at the Botanical Gardens starting with the U10 and U12 at 8:30am.
BTFA President Donna Watson said, “We are looking forward to an excellent turnout as we have had increased numbers in our cross country series this year. We are hoping that some of the top male and female road runners come out and compete in the Championships.
“All of our middle distance athletes hoping for a spot in the Carifta team have been competing all season and we expect to see them at the Championships and of course we always look at the younger athletes who are coming up. We will be crowning the championships in the U10, U12, U14, U17, U20, Open, Masters, Snr Masters and Over 60 divisions.
“We will also be announcing the winners of the Cross country series in the same age groups. Many of these age groups have been very close and the winners have only won by a few point seperation. The is close out our Cross Country season as we begin to prepare for our very important track & field season.”
