Videos: 2012 Fairmont to Fairmont Race
The Men’s winner of the Fairmont to Fairmont race Lamont Marshall held off a legendary Kenyan runner, beating Olympic medalist Douglas Wakiihuri to claim the top spot.
Mr Wakiihuri has a string of world class victories; winning the marathon at the 1987 World Championships in Rome, the silver medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, the London Marathon in 1989, and the New York Marathon in 1990.
Interview with both winners:
Marshall covered the course in a time of 40:14, with Douglas Wakiihuri finishing second with a time of 40:53 and Jay Donawa finished third clocking 40:58.
The Ladies Champion Deon Breary finished 19th overall clocking a time of 48:15, while Joanna Shillington was the second female finisher in 48:50 finishing 22nd overall and one spot back was Kristyn Robinson who clocked 49:05.

The 35th Annual Fairmont to Fairmont attracted a record number of entries, with 334 Adults, 68 Juniors, and 26 Relay Teams compromising of 78 runners.
