11-Yr-Old Boy Injured In Accident

An 11-year-old boy was injured this morning [Feb.23] after being struck by a car while walking on Mount Hill in Pembroke. He was taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment, with his injuries not believed to be life threatening.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 8:20am on Thursday February 23rd, police and first responders attended a reported collision on Mount Hill in Pembroke between a car and a pedestrian.

“It appears that a car was travelling along Mount Hill when it collided with a pedestrian near the junction with Berkeley Road. The pedestrian, believed to be an 11 year old boy was injured and conveyed to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.”

“The driver, a 71 year old Pembroke man was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information should contact the main police number on 295-0011.”
