Truck Accident On South Shore

[Updated] Emergency services responded to an accident on South Shore Road, Paget area just west of Elbow Beach this evening [Feb.7]. A truck was crashed partially off the road into trees, and was removed by a tow truck.

Traffic along South Shore was restricted to one way traffic while the truck was being removed, and reopened at approximately 10.20pm. We unofficially understand that the truck occupant[s] did not sustain serious injuries, however we will update with official information as able.

Update: A police spokesperson said, “Around 9:30pm on Tuesday February 7th, police responded to a report of a collision on South Road in Paget. It appears that a truck was travelling along South Road near Coral Beach when it went over an embankment. The truck was damaged, however, the driver, a 49 year old Devonshire man was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.”
