Riddell’s Bay Dispute Heads To Arbitration
A press statement issued by the Riddell’s Bay Golf & Country Club and Bermuda Industrial Union this morning [Mar.13] said that the recent industrial dispute has been referred to arbitration, and all employees have agreed to return to work.
Last week staff members at the Riddell’s Bay Golf & Country Club in Warwick walked off the job and were seen protesting outside the property after a fellow employee was fired from the food and beverage department.
If never ceases to amaze me, that the BIU will have an illegal wildcat strike inconvenience the public get all the chat rooms overflowing hateful comments and then send to arbitration or the Labor Relations and kiss and make up. Why can’t these disputes be resolved before they go the public??
Hey Amazed!! The “wildcat strike” is the only thing a lot of these Bosses will ever understand! Nowadays the worlds Unions are toothless entities and you wonder why the workers have no respect from the powers that be, it is because of the “Strike” being made illegal by bargains agreed to by the Unions thanks to Govt agents within the Unions. The days of Ottiwell Simmons where the last days of true union power to negotiate, today any strike is a small issue compared to the wickedness perpetrated against the average workers!
B.S. – it’s the first trick out of the bag.
The management At Riddells Bay need to pay attaention there is so much they are doing wrong its a shame. I trust all will come to lioght and they will get rid off Dennis Paul
SO SO SAD!!!!
PROUD TO SEE WE HAVE SOME BERMUDIANS ARE STICKING TOGETHER AND FIGHTING FOR WHATS RIGHT!
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH I WISH ALL OF US COULD COME TOGETHER AND DEMAND WHAT WE DESERVE!!
I HIGHLY RESPECT ANY NATIONALITY FOR STICKING TOGETHER!!! JAMAICANS ARE KNOWN FOR IT!! NUFF RESPECT TO THEM!!
