Rolf Fischer Joins Oil Casualty Insurance
Oil Casualty Insurance, Ltd.[OCIL] announced that Rolf Fischer will be joining OCIL as Senior Property Underwriter.
Since 2003, Mr Fischer has been underwriting energy related accounts at ACE (Bermuda) with concentration on Engineer Risk occupancies that include oil & gas, petro-chemical and heavy hazard chemical, mining, utilities, and heavy manufacturing.
Previously, Mr Fischer was a Senior Service Engineer for 11 years with New Sulzer Diesel working with marine diesel propulsion systems, assembling and commissioning of a 20 megawatt power plant along with various other engineering related services.
A statement from the Company said, “Mr Fischer will support OCIL’s reinsurance initiatives and the development of a property insurance business plan. This initiative is not to compete with Oil Insurance Limited [OIL] but will likely compliment OIL. The focus will be on energy industry accounts that may not require large limits offered by OIL or those that may not qualify for OIL participation.”
