Upcoming: BSoA Hosting Two Workshops

Professional theatrical scenic artist Karen Phillips-Curran, who has been painting in Bermuda since 1986, will be holding a “Faux Finish & Special Paint Effects Workshop” at the Bermuda Society of Arts Gallery [BSoA] at City Hall on Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1.

This will cover painting techniques to achieve such effects as woodgraining, marbleizing, scumbling texture, patina, crackle and distressing and teach you about techniques and materials to decorate items for your own home.

The Canadian artist will be holding another BSoA workshop on “Building Structure in your Paintings” on Monday, April 2 and Tuesday, April 3 from 5pm until 8pm.

She will teach you how to create dynamic painting using simple tools.
