16-Year-Old Injured in Sandys Collision

A police spokesperson said, “Around 4pm on Tuesday April 17th, police and first responders attended a reported collision at the junction of Malabar Road and Runway Lane in Sandys.

“It appears that a car and an auxiliary cycle were travelling along Malabar Road when they collided. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 16 year old Sandys male was injured and conveyed to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of a leg injury. He was later released.

“The driver, an 82 year old Sandys man was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.”
