75-Yr-Old Pedestrian Injured In Accident

A 75-year-old woman was injured yesterday [Apr.11] after a car struck her while she was walking in St. George’s.

“Around 2:50pm on Wednesday April 11th, police and first responders attended a reported collision on York Street in St. George’s between a car and a pedestrian,” said a police spokesperson.

“The pedestrian, a 75 year old St. George’s woman received a leg injury and was conveyed to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The driver, a 31 year old Warwick man, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.”

    In spite of the speed bumps we still have idiots who speed and ignore pedestrian crossings. I hope the driver is taken to court
