Shooting Victim Remains In Stable Condition

The shooting victim from Tuesday night is listed in stable condition on a surgical ward at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital as of 7am this morning [May 24].

Around 10:23pm on Tuesday [May 22] police responded to a report of gunshots being fired and someone being shot and injured outside a residence on Rambling Lane, Pembroke.

The victim, a 51-year-old Devonshire man, received multiple gunshot wounds to his body and was rushed to hospital for treatment for his injuries.

A police statement said, “During the initial investigation, police ascertained that one person was seen fleeing from the area, description given as being approximately six feet tall with a slim build. A dark coloured motorcycle was also seen speeding away from the scene around that time.”

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen any suspicious activity in the Rambling Lane, Pembroke area around the time of the incident, or have any information whether they believe it to be important or not to contact the Serious Crime Unit on telephone number 247-1185, or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-TIPS (8477).
